Returns and Refund Policy
We want you to love your purchase, but if you change your mind, we're here to help! You can request a return and refund within 14 days of receiving your order.
How to Start a Return
Email us at help@girlfriendmaterial.com with your order number, and we'll guide you through the process.
Return Conditions
- Items must be unused, unwashed, and in original packaging.
- Must be in brand new condition with all tags attached.
- Free from stains (e.g., makeup) or scents.
If your return meets these conditions, you can choose either:
- A refund to your original payment method (less applicable handling fees), or
- Store credit (with a reduced handling fee).
Fees & Deductions
- Standard Handling Fee: $30 for refunds to the original payment method or $15 for store credit.
- Small Order Handling Fee: For orders under $100 that did not qualify for free shipping, a $10 handling fee applies. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
- Partial Returns with Gift Items: If your order included a complimentary item (e.g., a free Blind Box) and you choose to return part of the order (e.g., the purchased bag), we will deduct the a la carte price of the gift item from your refund if the gift is opened or kept.
Additional Notes
- Original shipping, insurance, and duties are non-refundable.

For U.S. Customers: We will provide you with a prepaid return shipping label as part of the handling fee—no extra shipping cost is required.
For International Customers: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We do not provide prepaid return labels for non-U.S. orders.
- Items that do not meet the return conditions will not be eligible for a refund or store credit.
Refunds Processing
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method/store credits within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at help@girlfriendmaterial.com.

Wrong/defective item
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
In the rare event that you receive a wrong or defective piece, please email us at help@girlfriendmaterial.com within 14 working days from date of receipt and we will send you a replacement piece. If the item is out of stock, we will issue you a full refund.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
Due to logistical reasons, we are unable to provide one to one exchanges for now. We recommend returning your item for store credits and placing a new order.
