We use a combination of high-quality materials, including vegan microfiber leather and genuine cowhide leather. We’re dedicated to minimizing waste and embracing upcycling: our leather is sourced from byproducts of the meat industry, while our vegan leather is crafted from recycled materials.

No matter the material, we select the best options within the price point. Our focus is on quality — from luxurious leather to top-notch hardware, every detail is carefully chosen with you in mind.

For packaging, our bags come wrapped in linen dust bags and recyclable plastic.

Our bags are proudly designed in Singapore and handcrafted by skilled leather artisans in China. We partner exclusively with BSCI-certified factories that adhere to strict environmental standards and ethical working conditions. Our artisans are paid above minimum wage and provided with three meals a day. From meticulous material inspections to the careful stitching of every thread, each bag is crafted with precision and care.

Our bags come with a one-year warranty against defects. If you discover a defect in your item within one year of purchase, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you. Please note that this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, such as scuffs, chips, or peeling, as well as stains and any changes in appearance that do not affect the product's functionality.

Vegan Leather Care

• Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth and remove excess moisture with a dry microfiber cloth.
• Keep away from heat and direct sunlight.
• When not in use, store in its dust bag in a cool, dark, dry area.

Genuine Leather Care

• Avoid contact with water and alcohol.
• If wet, dry immediately with a cloth.
• Clean with saddle soap and a horsehair brush, then wipe with a dry microfiber cloth.
• Apply leather conditioner if the leather feels dry.
• When not in use, store in its dust bag in a cool, dark area, and stuff with tissue paper to maintain shape.

All orders are shipped directly from our warehouse in China.

Once your order is packed, you'll receive a shipping notification email with tracking details.

After our courier picks it up, delivery will take 9-16 business days for US orders, and 6-8 days for Australia orders.

We know how upsetting this can be! Please contact us immediately and we will request for a search for your package with the mail carrier. Meanwhile, please also check with your family members/neighbours and your CCTV in case of porch pirates.

While we will try our absolute best to locate your parcel, Girlfriend Material is not responsible for parcels that are stolen or lost.

We offer free shipping to the United States and Australia on orders over $100. For orders under $100, shipping is $20.

For U.S. orders under $800, you will not be charged any import taxes.

For Australia orders under $620 (1000 AUD), you will not be charged any import taxes.

If your order exceeds the threshold, we recommend placing two separate orders to avoid additional fees!

Please double check your order before checking out as order cancellations or changes are not allowed in order to streamline our operations. As we want our customers to receive their orders as soon as possible, the fulfilment process begins the moment an order is received. It would be difficult for us to cancel your order in time.

Due to logistical reasons, we are unable to provide one to one exchanges for now. We recommend returning your item and placing a new order.

We're so sorry if you received a defective item! Please email us at help@girlfriendmaterial.com within 14 working days from date of receipt and we will send you a replacement piece. If there are no more stocks, we will issue you a full refund.
